And didn’t even guess: “Francis Crick confessed that he was tripping the first time he envisioned the double helix.”
We think he’d have figured it out anyway, and we certainly never pictured him as some kind of apostle of love. But this is useful to know.

Maybe, by using a drug, such as lysergic acid, under laboratory conditions, to liberate some of the potential of the right-side of the brain, via a hightened sensitivity to the extraordinary, visual beauty of even the most mundane objects?
Sorry, but should be ‘heightened’, not ‘hightened’. I’d meant to change it.
