The friend who sends the link writes, “Lewis Wolpert was well out of his depth in this debate and didn’t do very well. But this discussion is instructive to listen to nonetheless.”

Wolpert could be at a disadvantage if, as a developmental biologist, he is learning the issues from the crackpot cosmologies featured in pop science mags. Maybe he is only hearing about the actual evidence for the opposing view for the first time when he comes up against someone like Hugh Ross.
