  1. Let us pause, remember that day and what has happened since, remembering those who have lost their lives and those who are still bereaved.

  2. Mass Consciousness: Perturbed Randomness Before First Plane Struck on 911 – July 29 2012
Excerpt: The machine apparently sensed the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre four hours before they happened – but in the fevered mood of conspiracy theories of the time, the claims were swiftly knocked back by sceptics. But it also appeared to forewarn of the Asian tsunami just before the deep sea earthquake that precipitated the epic tragedy.,,
Now, even the doubters are acknowledging that here is a small box with apparently inexplicable powers. ‘It’s Earth-shattering stuff,’ says Dr Roger Nelson, emeritus researcher at Princeton University in the United States, who is heading the research project behind the ‘black box’ phenomenon.

  3. Thanks for posting this.

    PS
Well wishes and prayers to you and your son. God bless you.

  4. I’ll never forget. I was in Kentucky with my pastor at the time and New York was our next stop. Needless to say we did not go. But I still remember seeing with my own eyes the live televised images showing people leaping to their deaths.

Overcome evil with good. Love conquers all. God bless.

  5. While thinking about 9/11 you may want to also rethink about 9/11.

  6. SC:

I think it is vital for us to remember key history like this, and the CNN raw footage allows us to see it with new eyes again.

Also, thanks for thoughts and prayers. The process has been prolonged and will take up into Jan next year all told, if all goes well.

    Back on focal topic . . .

I find it interesting how, apart from conspiracists on one hand and those specifically bereaved on the other, the epochal events are slowly being erased from our collective memory.

I also remember the silencing of aggressive agendas that were pushing ever so hard at the time, for quite some time after the shock of the event hit. (The first month after the event was an eye-opener.)

I doubt that the two are unrelated.

(Cf. here on the Ac 27 model for how democracies can fall to the march of folly.)

We need to be further reminded and DV I will post further on the man who saw it coming.

PS: Bilbo, I saw the collapse of bldg 7 live, by then I had made it home in Jamaica. I am satisfied that the fires that led the depleted, shocked NYFD, multiplied by the stress of the previous events, to the decision to let no 7 burn were correct. Once structural steel reaches softening, pancake collapse — cf here and here with here — will initiate, especially with a truss-based structure — and BTW a factor was, due to hazard concerns, asbestos based insulation of structural steel was not used c 1970 in the construction. And IIRC, other buildings on site were thereafter deemed unsafe and taken down after [mem suggests, no 5?], but I stand to be corrected on that. I should note, back in ’95 I had read Clancy’s book on a US-Japan secret war in the Pacific, which culminates in a suicide attack on the US Capitol using a 747. I noted the ’98 Al Qaeda attacks in E Africa. When my wife called me at work that morning on a plane hitting WTC, I remembered the Empire State building accident in WW II, and suggested accident. Maybe 1/2 hr later she called back, the second tower was hit. “That’s Bin Laden,” was my immediate reply. An inference to both design and specific designer. Later, we learned UBL was a demolition specialist for his family construction firm. Do you recall the captured, translated video in which he described his “achievement”? I think that needs to be dredged up and watched again, especially his identification of the “iron” in the buildings as a critical structural vulnerability.
