I just filled my left hand with hope, while my right hand is only half full with spit. What did your momma tell you to do next?

Me too. I would like to see that proof. I tried to prove it myself, but just couldn't see how to do it without additional assumptions. Has anyone noticed that Dembski didn't actually say that the conjecture had been proved TRUE? The "problem has been resolved" could also mean that the professor found a counter example. I am not going to buy the book just to see a proof so I'm hoping it might be posted here.

My momma used to tell me to hope in one hand, spit in the other, and see which fills up first. -ds Raevmo

DS,

Fine. If that is how he advertises the sale of a book. But is the mission to broaden an understanding of ID or is it to sell books ?

This is his blog, he can do what he wants, and if his mission is to sell books, then who am I to question that.

But if his mission is to enlighten, I fail to understand that post.

Anyway, forgive me if I was harsh. I just thought we would be able to SEE the proof. But I guess he paid a 1000 dollars for it, so, it's his property and he can do what he wants with it. Sorry for the beligerence.

If you paid $1000 for something and intended to put it in a book you were writing does it make any sense at all to publish it for free even before the book comes out? We all have bills to pay. -ds bdelloid

Okay, this is bogus.

Dembski should post that proof. What is his problem ? He posts that thing, doesn't explain it to any one, doesn't explain the significance or what if means, someone else SOLVES the damn thing, he pontificates about how elegant the solution is, then CLOSES the comments.

I have to say, that is not at all how an academic should act . Academics are supposed to ENLIGHTEN.

Maybe he wants you to buy the book he said it's going to be in. Grow up. -ds bdelloid
