(reflects upon the funniest just-so story he's ever read)

The literal reading of genesis suddenly doesn't seem so stupid anymore...

Off topic (somewhat): we now know the evolutionary origin of singing:

glad to know that emitting humming noises through your bladder to attract fish to your nest led us to Barry White a couple of hundred million years later..

message continued, some got cut off:

as I've read many times that ID does not speculate on the identity of the desiner, rather limiting it's self to detection of that design.

magnan,
I've not heard it put quite that way before.

Have you got a potted summary of the other conceptual lines that have been mooted

"as has been discussed many times here, an “intelligent cause” could be along many other conceptual lines"</bl
ndy, as I've read many times that ID does not speculate on the identity of the desiner, rather limiting it's self to detection of that design.

This is great - going on the offensive against especially the prominent dogmatic atheists like Dawkins.

Only one problem, based on the book description. It says "It is no longer possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist because life’s origin requires an intelligent cause—this book shows why." This appears to conflate "intelligent cause" with the Biblical God. Technically, as has been discussed many times here, an "intelligent cause" could be along many other conceptual lines, which would also solve the theodicity problem - theodicity being the study of the problem of evil from a religious perspective.

Intelligent Design makes me an intellectually fulfilled atheist. I don't find any contradiction between design and my personal beliefs.

Great stuff -- so, how many pages are we looking at here? Is it cheap enough to give away? Available in 10-packs?

I've taken on atheists in both of my blogs. The Country shrink (http://thecountryshrink.com) and (http://intelldesign.wordpress.com).

I've written about the psychology of atheism and intelligent design. So far, I have only atheists arguing against me, and fairly specifically against Dembski.

Atheists tend to believe that they are the true intellectuals and anyone who believes in God or ID lacks intelligence. Glad to see your new book. I'll be buying a copy.
