Hello, everyone. For my first contribution, I just want to let you guys know what you can expect from me and what I expect from you.

What you can expect from me:

My posts will probably be similar to those of Dr. Dembski, but due to my busy schedule, I seriously doubt I will be able to post as often as he did. I’m a college junior studying English and Philosophy, so you probably won’t see me addressing very many, if any, hard scientific matters.

What I expect from you:

I want you all to be civil and respectful to everyone else on this blog. You don’t have to agree with everything I have to say, and I encourage lively debates. However, I have very little tolerance for brazen rudeness. Just have fun; there’s no sense in having a stroke over a silly blog!

Glad you are posting, crandaddy. Honest points of view, regardless of training or education, are worth far more to me than dishonesty from "trained" and "educated" dogmatists. Part of what so galls me about evolutionists is their persistent dogmatism; for example, the previous thread on Dawkins in which he blames religion for all the evil in the world. Show him Hitler, Stalin, Mao and their roots in Darwinism. An open minded person would at least consider such evidence.Red Reader

crandaddy can discuss the issues from a similar viewpoint as Barbara Forrest who "only" has an education in philosophy. Since he is in college as a student I imagine he coud also discuss the viewpoints of his generation and/or the student body he's involved with.Patrick

es, By no means do I consider myself to be the intellectual equivalent of Dr. Dembski. When I say my posts will be similar to his, I mean I will try to emulate the way he keeps readers and commenters up-to-date on events pertinent to ID. I could also address the philosophical aspects of ID and science in general. Your tone borders on insulting; I suggest you watch yourself.crandaddy

What matters do you hope to address? Do you really think your posts will probably be similar to those of Dr. Dembski? Is this a joke?es

Hello Crandaddy, Its good to hear that UC is back. I used to post a little on this site but was kicked off by Dr. Dembski. I was never profane or insulting and tried to have good conversations with people. I often enjoyed the exchanges and got a lot out of them. Conversation here was always civilized and respectful. I did not understand why I was kicked off even after I read Dr. D's guidelines and would appreciate a chance to talk with eveyone here once more. Sincerely, John-Michael Davis Alrighty then, a chance once more it is. --dsftrp11
