The curious fact is that, compared to white rhinos, black rhinos tend to be antisocial, which means they need a larger range for an equivalent number of animals – which increases the costs and problems of protection against poaching. And may help explain their much more rapid decline.

The rhinos are being airlifted to a range that is easier to patrol.

So, for the extinction file, antisocial tendencies could in some cases, increase risk.
