Interesting question! I guess that they want to pass the message that capitalism ALONE is responsible for all man’s evils. AS IF!
We should see music, movies and all media info with a grain of salt. Everyone is working for someone, so we might aswell try to see who is a given news outlet working for.

Sorry, but I don’t think a clear reading of the lyrics justifies your stance. Certainly the child has questions about the meaning of their existence centered on what he learned in science.

The father doesn’t dispute the facts; but indicates (unlike ID) that the answers are unknown and probably unknowable.

That it is their relationship to one another that gives meaning to their lives. Hardly a claim that there is scientific evidence of Intelligent Design in biology. On the other hand, as valid an answer as any that actually addresses the child’s concerns.
