It may also be relevant that he has no training in either biology or climate science. His Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering was called "Interaction Between Detonation Waves and Shock Waves in Hypersonic Flow of Detonative Mixtures." He seems a military-industrial complex kind of guy.
