for Christian Post:

Bill Nye “The Science Guy” revealed that following the much-publicized debate with Creation Museum CEO and President Ken Ham last week, a person defaced his or her own car to take a shot at him.

“Somebody out there hates me enough to actually deface their own car,” Nye told CBS 58 News on Monday, showing a photo that was sent to him. The photo is of a car with its windows marked with the lettering “Bill Nye the Science Lie.” More.

So, he has a detractor somewhere. Last seen, no doubt, driving a guzzling beater with purple fuzzy dice hanging off the rearview mirror …

A look back at the debate.

What’s the debate readers would really like to see? News would like to see Woit vs. Tegmark on the multiverse, with no subtle accusations of creationism or hate allowed. Just the facts, man.

What about you? Who would you like to see?

Ham clobbered nye and its done like dinner. For YEC its not to take on before great audiences more specialized subjects. So a YEC take on science theory so as to prove evolution is not scientific. YEC to debate on biology and geology presumptions and biogeography. In other words mopping up operations. I think the ability to reach great audiences in these days gives the chance to quickly kill evolutionary biology. The people can get the best from both sides and then see how the wrong side really is really wrong. There is a audience out there for well done debates on these famous contentions. Creationism is the one to gain and even prevail once and for all in debates. Evolutionism is surely afraid of debates. They have no and can't make a persuasive case in these days. ots not about the quality of the men on the other side. They have a poor case period.Robert Byers

Meyer v Nye, or WLC v Nye... both would be a bloodbath. It would be fun to watch though. I'm addmittedly YEC, but Ken Ham is not my idea of a champion of my viewpoint.johnp

Yeah, I definitely like Axe's style. If it turned out he could debate like Meyer, he'd be a powerhouse. One of the things I first noticed about Meyer from Lee Strobel's interview for the book Case for The Creator, was that Meyer was very comprehensive. Meyer answered Strobel's questions, and managed to anticipate all the logical hard questions that would naturally arise, and he answered those in the process. Lee was left with little to ask, lol. Meyer basically filled in potholes before they were encountered. I think someone said Meyer was deft in debate(?) because he trained in boxing before... and used this ability to maneuver in debate. Something like that.JGuy

The most civil, informative, debate that I've seen in a while, was this one:
Steve Meyer vs. hostile reviewer Charles Marshall (audio of debate) - Dec. 1, 2013 https://uncommondescent.com/cambrian-explosion/steve-meyer-vs-hostile-reviewer-charles-marshall-audio/ Stephen Meyer Answers Charles Marshall (Peer Reviewed Paper) on Darwin's Doubt - October 2013 (4 part response) http://www.evolutionnews.org/2013/10/stephen_meyer_r077371.html
I would like to see Dr. Sternberg (of Smithsonian blacklist fame), or perhaps Dr. Axe, also have such a civil debate with a top Darwinist. I thought Dr. Sternberg did extremely well in 2009 in his debate teamed up with Dr. Meyer against Prothero and Shermer, here is a clip featuring Sternberg:
Whale Evolution Vs. Population Genetics - Richard Sternberg PhD. in Evolutionary Biology - video http://www.metacafe.com/watch/4165203
I've never seen Dr. Axe debate before, but when I have heard him speak he always strikes me as having a no nonsense style that would do well in a debate format:

To be honest, Sarfati is considerably well above their league. But it would be a joy watching these see these icons of evolution "science" decimated.JGuy
